This 1,600 sq. ft. two-storey laneway house in Vancouver’s Kerrisdale neighbourhood is driven by a clear focus on light and form. The massing is carefully articulated to maximize daylight through large openings and skylights, shaping interior spaces through shifting light conditions over the day. A metal roof and metal cladding reinforce the building’s simple, precise geometry, resulting in a restrained contemporary structure that is both functional and spatially refined.
