Shaoyi founded the practice in 2016, which evolved into Fulu Architecture Inc. (formerly SYLA Design Inc.) in 2026. A registered Architect AIBC and LEED Accredited Professional, he holds a Master of Architecture (M.Arch) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) from the University of British Columbia. With over a decade of experience across luxury single-family homes, multi-family developments, and commercial environments, Shaoyi brings a refined, detail-oriented approach to serving discerning clients.
Guided by a deep appreciation for diverse cultures, Shaoyi believes that great architecture must respond thoughtfully to its context and human identity. His design methodology combines technical precision with a serene, Zen-inspired clarity, translating complex visions into timeless built forms.

Wendy is a Registered Interior Designer with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Melbourne. Her path to interior design began with studying buildings at the architectural scale, but she found herself most drawn to the intimate questions: how does morning light shape your breakfast routine? Where does your family naturally gather? How do daily rhythms inform the spaces we call home?
For twelve years, Wendy has worked on residential projects across Metro Vancouver. Her architectural training gives her a foundation in structural systems, building codes, and spatial thinking. This background helps her coordinate with engineers, anticipate construction challenges, and create solutions that are both beautiful and buildable.
Wendy holds credentials as a Registered Interior Designer (RID) through the Interior Designers Institute of BC, and is certified in sustainable design through LEED, which focuses on creating healthier, more energy-efficient homes.
