Winner of Best Interior Design at the LOOP Design Awards, this laneway house proves that thoughtful design can make small spaces live large. Every square foot works harder through multi-functional spaces and strategic storage solutions. West Coast aesthetics meet Japanese spatial efficiency: clean lines, natural wood tones, and carefully edited material choices create visual calm in the 900-square-foot interior. The young couple clients needed flexibility for future family growth, so we designed adaptable spaces that can evolve. A home office converts to a nursery, built-in seating includes hidden storage, and the open kitchen-living area maintains separation through subtle level changes rather than walls. Large windows and a neutral palette amplify the sense of space, creating the luminous quality that inspired the project's name.
